Marvel Masterworks To End?

I’ve been sitting on this post for a bit in the hope that a ray of light would shine through and I could write something more along the lines of “phew, that was a near miss!”.

Alas, I haven’t spotted anything to that affect so I’m assuming that the news is correct and as of the end of this year the Masterworks line will be cancelled by Marvel.

Masters of the Universe Review: New Eternia Deluxe Beast Man

He’s a big lad!

I bought this version of Beast Man at the same time as New Eternia Viking He-Man, which I’ve already reviewed here.

In that review I gave a quick and dirty overview of the Masterverse line and the New Eternia sub-line within that. I won’t repeat all of that here but suffice to say the New Eternia sub-line contains different takes on the classic Masters of the Universe characters, all at that 17cm/7 inch scale.

Masters of the Universe Masterverse Review: New Eternia Viking He-Man

As covered in this post looking over a few figures, I’ve found myself collecting Masters of the Universe Masterverse figures! I won’t go over the reasons again, but it’s basically the figures’ scale, detail and articulation won me over. Although I was very tempted by the Origins line and I’m very happy with the Clamp Champ we got.
