Masters of the Universe Review: New Eternia Deluxe Beast Man

He’s a big lad!

I bought this version of Beast Man at the same time as New Eternia Viking He-Man, which I’ve already reviewed here.

In that review I gave a quick and dirty overview of the Masterverse line and the New Eternia sub-line within that. I won’t repeat all of that here but suffice to say the New Eternia sub-line contains different takes on the classic Masters of the Universe characters, all at that 17cm/7 inch scale.

Masters of the Universe Masterverse Review: New Eternia Viking He-Man

As covered in this post looking over a few figures, I’ve found myself collecting Masters of the Universe Masterverse figures! I won’t go over the reasons again, but it’s basically the figures’ scale, detail and articulation won me over. Although I was very tempted by the Origins line and I’m very happy with the Clamp Champ we got.

Comparing DC Finest to What’s on the Shelf!

The news of DC’s new line of chunky paperback collected editions – DC Finest – has certainly got me excited. There has definitely been a bit of a dry spell for classic material from DC, particularly in paperback format. So the new line is really welcome news.

However, I’m sure I’m not the only one who is comparing the released details of the new books against what I’ve already got on my shelves.

I’m going to take a look at Batman and Superman below as there have been recent volumes from DC covering similar time periods.
